The JLPT is divided into five levels, from N5 (easiest) to N1 (most difficult). Understand what each level entails to set your goals.
The N5 level measures the most basic level of understanding of Japanese. You should know around 100 kanji, 800 vocabulary words, and have a grasp of basic grammar, including particles and verb conjugations.
